DJ Chef (via dalasv) I just did an iPhone photo dump. This guy was in Norway, spinning records and making soup at an art gallery. The soup was really delicious after a week of eating mostly junk because it was all we could afford.

Got an animated factory or out of control automation of some sort? Here’s the tried and true soundtrack for it. There are two distinct sections (the beginning, then at about 1:26) that I heard countless times watching cartoons as a kid, but didn’t realize came from the same composition until about ten years ago.

Scott went on to build some of the earliest synthesizers and sequencers. He did some work for early Jim Henson films. You can get a collection of his work on Amazon.

Just ordered my digital-to-analog converter box at Radio Shack. It should arrive in 3 to 5 days. Pretty stoked to see how digital TV looks through this conversion process.

I also bought a soldering iron and associated items to begin my DIY synthesizer.

I totally already knew this, but for some reason, it wasn’t until I saw Robert Reich lay it out in such a stark bulletpoint that I fully realized it.

America is going to really have to deal with a lot psychologically as it slips down the charts in world influence. Things are going to get weird really soon for that very reason.
